The Festival of the August Moon

Description: The Festival of the August Moon is one of our major fundraising events for the Garden's expansion plan. The August Moon is based on an ancient folk tale about a queen who saved her people from a cruel king. When the gods learned of her sacrifice, they sent her a rabbit as a companion in recognition of her great sacrifice on behalf of others. It is their shadows that we see during the brightest full moon of the eighth lunar month. We have over 300 supporters attending an evening of dinner and entertainment.
