Reduce your carbon footprint using just one sheet of cloth! Don’t believe us? Then don’t miss our fun workshop on furoshiki, the Japanese art of folding cloth for practical daily use. You can reuse the same furoshiki to create an elegant gift or lunch wrapping, a wine bottle case, a book cover, a basket, a scarf, and more! Avoid paper and plastic waste while being trendy at the same time. The class is taught by longtime JFG partner Cindy Snyder and includes an assortment of designer cloth cuts themed for Earth Day (turtles, seashells, etc). Participants are encouraged to bring household items to experiment wrapping with. Each student gets to keep one furoshiki of their choice.
