Issho ni Nihongo wo benkyoushimasen ka? (Will you like to learn Japanese with us?) The Japanese Friendship Garden is holding a general language course for kids and adults alike interested in learning Japanese and Japanese culture. We will have fun practicing Japanese with games and activities designed to diverge into different facilities of the class’s themes. These classes are developed by the programs coordinator and taught by native Japanese speakers and University Students from San Diego. We hope these classes bring in opportunities for exposure to Japanese language, culture, and how they intertwine with American culture and language. Students with zero to limited prior knowledge of Japanese are greatly welcome! Come have fun on a one-time or recurring basis. Each class will cover a specific theme and will not be cumulative so anyone can attend whenever he/she likes. Walk-ins are welcome. RSVPs are appreciated. Inquiries for JFG's Japanese language class can be e-mailed to

Our programs are partly funded by the City of San Diego Commission of Arts and Culture.
