Self Defense Seminar- Women and Children’s Edition

The goal of the Self-Defense Seminar is to demonstrate basic self-defense techniques of empty hand and with weapons. The seminar will touch on such topics as how to be aware of your surroundings, how to examine the approach of a stranger and identify dangerous situations, and how to react mentally and physically to any attack.

This hands-on Self-Defense Seminar will be directed towards active women and children. Participants will build self-esteem and confidence based on the simple fact that they will learn how to conduct themselves when situations require them to be alone in public places or in a private location. Participants will learn that they do not need to be the target of an attacker if they can avoid those situations altogether. Participants will work on the following objectives:

  • Identifying a dangerous situation in daily life

  • How to avoid being attacked

  • Proper mental attitude in case of an attack

  • Where to strike an opponent in case of an attack

  • Simple, useful and effective self-defense techniques

  • Safety tips for daily activities

With continual practice, students of Karate and Kobudo get in shape as a direct result of the exercises conducted during the training. Students will notice an increased level of energy, awareness, and focus, which results in more productive and healthier employees.
