Shibori
A Japanese resist dyeing technique that produces patterns on fabric in a multitude of ways. This dyeing technique has been present in Japan since the 700s, passed throughout the country on account of Ancient China’s influence. However, the style was commonly used during the 1600s to 1800s, making this technique a former staple in Japanese culture and tradition.
Shibori presents itself in beauiful and eccentric indigo and white patterns. Once you learn the technique, this Japanese method can be used on t-shirts, napkins, pillow cases, scarves, and more! Patterns are endless to choose from, yet all equally unique and elaborate.
