NAJGA and JFGM are delighted to partner on an unforgettable journey to Japan designed especially for garden enthusiasts. This tour designed for a comfortable pace allows participants to experience the beauty of Japanese gardens firsthand. The itinerary includes one day in Tokyo, one day in Yokohama, three days in the significant Ise region, and two days in Kyoto. Along the way, participants will visit exceptional gardens and cultural institutions, gain insight into traditional craftsmanship and enjoy remarkable regional cuisine. This tour balances inspiration, learning, and enjoyment, making it ideal for anyone passionate about Japanese gardens and culture. Cost is $7,500/person. Airfare not included.

This professional-focused tour, jointly presented by NAJGA and JFGM, is designed for garden professionals, curators, and educators seeking an immersive and dynamic experience. Participants should expect extensive walking and regular travel by public transportation. Based primarily in Tokyo and Kyoto, the tour prioritizes visiting a wide range of gardens with some opportunities to engage with Japanese garden professionals and practitioners. The experience also provides time to connect with fellow professionals from across North America while gaining on-the-ground exposure to Japan’s garden landscapes. Cost is $2,800/person. Airfare not included.
