Call for artists!

The Japanese Friendship Garden & Museum invites artists to submit original artwork that depicts or interprets the spring season through Cherry Blossoms. Selected pieces will be featured in the Inamori Pavilion space or the Upper Garden Gallery space as part of a special exhibition on view from March 6th through May 2nd.

The available locations are as follows:

  • Inamori Pavilion Display Case

  • Upper Garden Gallery

  • Inamori Pavilion Ceiling Rail - Only for works that can safely hang from a railing, e.g. Hanging Scrolls

  • Garden Space - Only for larger sculptural items. These must be dropped off in person and must be stable and weatherproof.

Submissions are open to all artists, including professional and emerging creators. Artists working across a variety of mediums are encouraged to apply and share their unique interpretations of Cherry Blossoms.

In addition to the standard exhibition dates, selected artworks will be on display during the 2027 JFGM Cherry Blossom Festival in March, offering artists the opportunity to share their works with festival guests.
