IKEBANA INTERNATIONAL - CHAPTER 119 SAN DIEGO
Since its establishment in 1968, the San Diego Chapter of Ikebana International has created interest in ikebana in San Diego, participated in activities in Balboa Park and different community events, represented different schools of ikebana, and provided educational and cultural opportunities for its members.

Ikebana International is a worldwide organization founded in Tokyo, Japan, in 1956 by the late Ellen Gordon Allen. Its members are dedicated to promoting the mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and other countries through ikebana (the art of Japanese flower arrangement) and other related arts of Japan.
Ikebana International (I.I.) is a non-profit cultural organization in Japan, and today boasts over 10,000 members with chapters in more than 50 countries. Ikebana International is governed by volunteers of many different nationalities and ikebana schools.
