  • Convenient and easy set up if you are interested in supporting the garde, JFGM events, and contribution monthly.

  • Celebrate life’s big moments. An anniversary, special occasion, honor a family member or friend, showcase your business and achievements in a unique and meaningful way.

Dedicating a tree or bench at the Japanese Friendship Garden & Museum is an impactful way to share moments of your journey. A select number of benches and Cherry Blossom are available onsite for dedications.

  • Supporting JFGM with a specific amount or percentage dedicated to the garden can be added to a will or living trust. Please advise your lawyer as well, we can continue to grow our legacies together and share donor based opportunities.

Bequest with a specific designation amount shall be distributed to the Japanese Friendship Garden & Museum of San Diego, a nonprofit organization, EIN  95-3572493, with an address at 2215 Pan American E San Diego, CA 92101-Mailing address 2125 Park Blvd Ste 2 San Diego, CA 92101, or its lawful successor, to be used in support of [Program/Purpose] provided, however, that if the preceding instruction should become impossible or impractical to fulfill as determined by the Board of Directors (or equivalent governing body) of the beneficiary, the beneficiary may use this gift as determined by its Board of Directors (or equivalent governing body).

  • Thank You for choosing to support JFGM. A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) allows individuals to make charitable contributions and receive an immediate tax deduction.

The funds are managed by providing our information and recommendations to your  DAF custodian/provider, Donors can contribute to the fund over time and recommend grants to charities at their discretion, providing flexibility in their giving strategy.

Gift assets not covered by your will — like 401(k) or IRA accounts — by designating us beneficiaries of those assets. If you wish to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution, contact your IRA custodian.

IRA or QCD gifts are tax efficient gifts reaching the required minimum distribution(RMD) required every year. These gifts are efficient in reducing taxable income, and creating immediate donation impact.

Please advise your IRA/Financial Advisor on your request to distribute funds.
