Journeying Japan

When we think of Japan, iconic destinations like Tokyo, Kyoto or Osaka come to mind. However, Japan is a vast island with 47 prefectures that each have their own history, traditions and character. Journeying Japan invites guests to explore this diversity right here at JFGM.

We will have an information booth where guests can learn about a prefecture and enjoy doing some origami. Through Journeying Japan, we hope guests gain a deeper appreciation for Japan's regional cultures and perhaps feel inspired to explore them on a future trip to Japan.

The prefecture for the month of July is Miyagi!

A table with information about Miyagi and will be available all through July at the Education Center and gift shop. You can browse this information between 10:00am - 12:00pm at the Education Center on Tuesdays through Saturdays on selected days.
