Sound & Water
A Morning of Sound Bath, Reiki & Herbal Medicine
Begin your Sunday morning in the living heart of the JFGM, beside the gentle sound of falling water. This one-of-a-kind experience weaves together three healing modalities — a full sound bath with crystal singing bowls, chimes, and gongs; hands-on reiki energy work offered individually throughout the session; and a cup of hand-crafted herbal tea blended specifically for the morning and the season. Together these three elements create a deeply restorative experience that tends to the body, the nervous system, and the spirit. No experience necessary. Come as you are.
To help you fully relax and sink into the experience, please bring:
A yoga mat
1–2 blankets, for warmth and coziness
A pillow, to support your head or knees
An eye mask, to gently block out light and turn your focus inward
Feel free to bring anything else that helps you feel comfortable and at ease — this is your time to unwind.

Meet the instructors
Coleen McLemore (on the right in the picture) brings nearly a decade of integrative wellness experience to her healing practice, rooted in western herbalism and the art of Reiki. She holds a certificate in Herbal Medicine from the Self Heal School of Herbal Studies and Healing and has studied under renowned herbalist and physician Dr. Tieraona Low Dog in Santa Fe, New Mexico. A Reiki Master since 2013, McLemore has offered Reiki to hundreds of patients in the Surgical and Procedural Area at Sharp Memorial Hospital — an experience that deeply shaped her understanding of the healing power of presence and touch.
Since 2023, McLemore has co-hosted Sacred Sound and Reiki healing events throughout San Diego, including in Kensington, Sunset Cliffs, Coronado, and Point Loma. In her sessions, she weaves together sound, energy work, and hand-crafted herbal medicine to create a deeply restorative experience — one that tends to the nervous system, opens the heart, and invites the body into a state of genuine rest and renewal.
Dawn (on the left in the picture) is a recovering attorney and mom of four, as well as a lifelong yogi and 500 hour certified yoga teacher (trained at Yoga One in San Diego). Dawn has a deep background in music and has long used Himalayan sound bowls for meditation and spiritual connection. After quitting her law firm job in 2020, she has devoted herself to sharing the healing power of sound through private and community sound bath experiences.
Dawn’s sound baths offer an artful blend of crystal singing bowls, koshi chimes, and seed rattles, along with drums and gongs. Her intuitive sense of sound invites rest and relaxation, as the mind’s focus turns to listening and receiving.
