Sonic Gong Meditation

Enjoy a deeply rejuvenating and immersive sound healing experience where you'll be bathed in the powerful sound waves of multiple gongs. While surrounded by the beauty of the garden, you'll get to lay down comfortably while the vibrations of the gongs assist in naturally guiding your body and mind into deep states of relaxation and restoration. The multidimensional healing frequencies of gongs offer a unique opportunity to reset and calm the nervous system, reduce stress, clear energetic blockages, release stored or stuck tension and emotions from the body, and promote an overall more harmonious state of balance and well-being. Class will end with the soothing tones of a rotating variety of ethereal instruments ranging from native flute, handpan, crystal harp, and other sacred sounds.

Please allow yourself plenty of time to find parking at Balboa Park and enter the side entrance of the garden to walk down to the pagoda deck. Please bring a yoga mat or cushion to lay down on during class. Blanket, pillow, and any other items to maximize comfort and warmth while laying down suggested. Comfortable clothing recommended.

Instructor: Lindsey Roach

Lindsey Roach is a sound healer, shamanic reiki practitioner, and somatic psychedelic facilitator with an educational background in Social Work. She left a traditional career behind in 2021 to make her main focus on the holistic healing arts in order to serve others in deeply healing experiences. Gongs are one of her favorite instruments to work with in sound healing because of the profoundly calming, cleansing, and balancing effects they can have on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies of those receiving the vibrations. She has been hosting sound meditation classes at the Garden since 2021.
